1. Event Overview

Description of the event provided by the character Dark Night from the Chinese version of the game. Thank to him.
Description of how this happens in the Chinese version of the game.
The entrance to the Demon Realm is located at the Pope in Tongwan City and opens daily at 12:00.
Conditions and Attempts: Entering the Demon Realm requires being in a guild, and each person can enter once per day.
Introduction: The Demon Realm features treacherous terrain and gathers the demonized forms of major bosses. Their instances are much stronger than before, requiring guild members to work together to defeat the bosses inside.
Rewards: When a boss dies, the guild with the highest aggro can obtain the treasure chest dropped by the boss. As long as guild members are in the Demon Realm, they can receive the chest. Each guild has only one chance to get a chest per day. Please pick up the dropped chest promptly; if not picked up within one minute, the chest will disappear. Note that at the exact moment the chest drops, guild members in a dead state cannot obtain it. No matter where guild members are, the chest will drop directly in front of the surviving guild members on the map. The chest automatically disappears after one minute.
Upon entering the Demon Realm or choosing to revive on the map, each player will randomly spawn on a platform in the Black Water Domain. Each player has five map revival opportunities.

2. Demon Realm Map Details

2.1.1 Demon Realm Map Overview

Looking down from high above, you can imagine the Demon Realm as a square that is high on the outside and low on the inside.
Three different terrains surround the central platform of the Demon Realm, arrayed from the outside to the inside: the Black Water Domain, the Magma Domain, and the Abyss Domain.
The outermost ring is the Black Water Domain, which is the edge of the entire map. You can proceed to the inner Magma Domain via certain one-way or turning pontoon bridges.
The Magma Domain is the core of the Demon Realm map because almost all the demon bosses are distributed here.
Further inside is the Abyss Domain, which is a mandatory passage from one side of the map to the other (e.g., traveling from the west side to the south side).
2.1.2 The Three Terrains of the Demon Realm

1. Platforms: A platform is a rectangular area and the main activity zone for characters like players and bosses. Platforms are connected to each other by pontoon bridges. There are 61 platforms in total within the Demon Realm, and except for those in the Abyss Domain, platform sizes range between 25 and 40. The outermost perimeter of every platform has a 3-yard wide edge area. Characters can leave the platform or attack characters outside the platform from anywhere except cliffs and guardrails, but they can only return to the platform via pontoon bridges. Every platform connects to at least two pontoon bridges.
2. Pontoon Bridges: Pontoon bridges are passages connecting platforms. Players can travel from one platform to another via these bridges, and there is a circle of guardrails near the junction of the bridge and the platform. There are two types of pontoon bridges:
The first type is a two-way pontoon bridge, allowing players to normally travel back and forth between two platforms.
The second type is a one-way pontoon bridge. At one end of this type, you can only go from the bridge to the platform and can only attack targets on that platform while on the bridge; you cannot go from the platform to the bridge or attack targets on the bridge from the platform. In other words, players can only travel from platform A to platform B using this type of bridge and cannot return from B.
3. Trap Areas — Black Water Purgatory, Magma Hell, Abyss Demon Realm: Players entering these areas will rapidly lose health and die in a very short time (approximately 5 seconds). However, other characters (including bosses, player pets, and summons) are completely unaffected upon entering these areas. All characters in these areas cannot attack targets on the platforms, but they can attack targets on the pontoon bridges.
2.2 Demon Realm Map Introduction

2.2.1 How to reach the Abyss Domain Central Platform
First, upon entering the Demon Realm, you will invariably appear in an area named the "Black Water Domain," which is the outermost area of the entire map.
You can roughly determine your direction on the map by checking your coordinates. If both coordinate numbers reported by the system are very small, you are on the northwest side of the map; if the first number is large and the second is small (e.g., 380, 15), you are on the northeast side. Walking east and south in the Mist World increases the coordinates in those respective directions.
Next, use environmental navigation to find the nearest normally passable pontoon bridge and move towards the center of the map. If you are on the west side of the map, try to move towards the east side.
To get from the Black Water Domain to the Magma Domain, you must pass through a one-way path or a pontoon bridge with turns. This rule is always valid regardless of which direction you are moving towards the Abyss Domain central platform from.
After you painstakingly enter the Magma Domain, you can use the bosses distributed here to determine your direction. As of December 2022, there are 22 bosses in the Demon Realm. The counter-clockwise order from southeast to north is as follows (specific boss locations will be explained in later sections):
Werewolf Caesar, Whale Monster Bigg, Vampire Lord Dracula, Monkey King Wukong, Snow Queen Ice, Millennium Tree King, Elf King Oerth, Meteor Queen Elsa, Mermaid Princess, Dr. Robot, Mutant Slime, Pig-faced Bat King, Pharaoh Tar, Lich King, Dark Priest, Savage Tyrant, Elvis Carter, Death Worm, Balrog, Evil Spirit, Lightning Mage, and Fallen Pinocchio.
A special note: Vampire Lord Dracula, Mermaid Princess, and Dark Priest are not within the Magma Domain.
When you reach a T-junction, it means you are not far from the Abyss Domain central platform. In the Demon Realm map, the Abyss Domain is a square surrounded on its outermost edge by four T-junction pontoon bridges in the East, South, West, and North. Just head in the direction indicated by the T-junction (e.g., if you hear West T-junction, go west), and you will enter the bounds of the Abyss Domain platforms.
Although the Abyss Domain does not have many bosses guarding it, when you need to travel from one side of the map to the other, you must cross the Abyss Domain central platform. While you could slowly skirt around from one side to the other through the Black Water and Magma Domains, it requires crossing multiple bridges and is absolutely not a straight line, so usually, everyone chooses to cross the Abyss Domain platform.
However, there is an exception: if you have a terrible sense of direction and play a class with healing skills, you can directly cross the trap areas, healing as you go; perhaps this is the fastest movement path!
2.2.2 Boss Distribution in the Demon Realm

Next, let's talk about these four important T-junctions. We will use these four T-junctions as centers to familiarize you with the locations of the bosses.
The Demon Realm is a square map; no matter which area's T-junction you are at, the distance extending left, right, up, and down is equal. Bosses are mostly distributed within three platforms extending up, down, left, and right from the T-junctions, and these three platforms are situated in the Magma Domain.
We will now explain starting from the T-junction on the east side of the map:
Heading South from the West T-junction: The first platform is empty, followed by the Whale Monster Bigg, and finally the Werewolf Caesar, but you cannot reach Caesar directly by going south from the West T-junction.
Heading West from the West T-junction into the Abyss Domain East platform leads to the Vampire Lord Dracula.
Heading North from the West T-junction leads to: Monkey King Wukong, Snow Queen Ice, and Millennium Tree King.
Heading East from the South T-junction leads to: Meteor Queen Elsa, Elf King Oerth, and Millennium Tree King.
Heading South from the South T-junction into the Abyss Domain North platform leads to the Mermaid Princess.
Heading West from the South T-junction leads to: Dr. Robot, Mutant Slime, and Pig-faced Bat King.
Heading North from the East T-junction leads to: Lich King, Pharaoh Tar, and Pig-faced Bat King.
Heading East from the East T-junction into the Abyss Domain West platform leads to the Dark Priest.
Heading South from the East T-junction leads to: Savage Tyrant, Elvis Carter, and Death Worm.
Heading West from the North T-junction leads to: Evil Spirit, Balrog, and Death Worm.
Heading East from the North T-junction leads to: Lightning Mage, Fallen Pinocchio, and Werewolf Caesar.
However, if you follow my instructions above, you will definitely scold me: "You're lying, there's no way to reach the Millennium Tree King by going east from the South T-junction!"
That is true. Because there is a one-way street there; the pontoon bridge between the Millennium Tree King's adjacent platform and itself is a one-way street. To bypass this one-way street, you must leave the Magma Domain via a specific pontoon bridge, go to the bordering Black Water Domain, and route around. Besides the Millennium Tree King's platform, the Magma Domain pontoon bridges adjacent to the Pig-faced Bat King's platform, the Death Worm's platform, and the Werewolf Caesar's platform are all like this. You can leave these four platforms to go to adjacent Magma Domain platforms, but you cannot return. The pontoon bridges on the outer side of these four platforms have the same situation; you can go from the edge Black Water Domain platforms to these four Magma Domain corner platforms, but similarly, you cannot return.
The specific routing is as follows:
If your task today is to ambush on the bridge east of the Millennium Tree King, you need to walk past the Elf King, leave the Black Water Domain to the north, travel east across two platforms to reach the platform northeast of the Millennium Tree King, then head south to the platform east of the Millennium Tree King before carefully getting on the bridge on the west side.
Actually, there is a pattern to the borders between the Black Water Domain on the four sides of the map and the Magma Domain. Let's continue using the T-junctions to explain: extending east-west from the North and South T-junctions, or extending north-south from the East and West T-junctions, at the second Magma Domain platform, there is a pontoon bridge leaving the Magma Domain. This pontoon bridge is one-way; once you get off the bridge, you cannot return. And going from the second platform to the third platform, you will run into a one-way pontoon bridge. This is why, as stated above, you cannot directly reach Caesar by going south from the West T-junction, nor directly reach the Millennium Tree King by going east from the South T-junction.
The Black Water Domain platforms reached by leaving these types of pontoon bridges are distributed in the northwest, northeast, southeast, and southwest directions of the map.
At the same time, the first platform extending out from the T-junction—namely where Dr. Robot, Meteor Queen, Wukong, Lightning Mage, Evil Spirit, Savage Tyrant, and Lich King are located—also has a pontoon bridge leading to the outer Black Water Domain. These pontoon bridges are special; they are not straight lines and require you to turn according to map guidance, otherwise, you will fall into a trap area. When you leave the Magma Domain via these curved pontoon bridges and arrive at the Black Water Domain platform, follow the guidance of the pontoon bridges on the Black Water Domain platform, and you will arrive at the other end of the map's equivalent side. In other words: suppose you leave the Magma Domain heading east from the first platform north of the West T-junction; following the platform and bridge guidance, you will arrive at the Magma Domain platform that is the first platform south of the West T-junction, and it works the same for other places.
These Black Water Domain platforms are distributed in the due north, east, south, and west directions on the map. When you see that at least one coordinate is between 100+ and 200+, it means you are on this type of platform.
Additionally, the second platform extending north from the West T-junction, east from the North T-junction, south from the East T-junction, and west from the South T-junction—the platform where Snow Queen, Mutant Slime, Elvis Carter, and Fallen Pinocchio are located—will have a pontoon bridge going directly to the corner of the Abyss Domain platform. That is a one-way street; once you enter the Abyss Domain, you cannot turn back, which is why some people intentionally pull bosses there to fight.
In the Demon Realm map, no matter which side's Black Water Domain edge you are coming from to reach the Abyss Domain central platform, as long as you choose the right bridge, you can definitely proceed in a nearly straight line. Usually, traveling through the central platform requires passing the four T-junctions.
If your starting or revival point is on the southwest side of the Black Water Domain, walking toward the Magma Domain will first take you across a one-way pontoon bridge to the southwest side of the Magma Domain, then heading east will get you to the North T-junction; or heading north will get you to the West T-junction. Other directions follow the same logic.
If your starting or revival point is on the due west side of the Black Water Domain, walk south or north to the southern or northern end of your current group of platforms, then head east across a turning pontoon bridge to reach the Magma Domain. Then head north or south (if you walked the northern platform earlier, walk south now, and vice versa) to reach the East T-junction.
We have listed the key points of the above complex information below; master these points, and you can freely run and jump around the Demon Realm:
1. By taking the correct route, you can travel from the map's four corners (Black Water Domain southeast, northeast, northwest, and southwest platforms) to the major T-junctions in a nearly straight line.
2. Traveling from the due east, north, west, or south of the Black Water Domain to the Magma Domain definitively requires crossing pontoon bridges with turns.
3. There are 12 combinations of cliffs and one-way pontoon bridges in the Demon Realm, located at the southeast, northeast, southwest, and northwest platforms of the Abyss Domain, as well as the southeast, northeast, southwest, and northwest of the Magma Domain. Note that every junction between a Magma Domain corner platform and the two outer Black Water Domain pontoon bridges has this kind of terrain.
2.2.3 Demon Realm Map Technical Specifications:

1. The Demon Realm is a 400*400 square, centrally symmetrical graphic. Therefore, rotating any coordinate 180° along the center point will yield an exactly identical terrain.
2. In the text below, the direction closer to the map's edge is defined as the outer side, and the direction closer to the map's center is defined as the inner side.
3. In the text below, all one-way pontoon bridges are referred to as "A to B pontoon bridges," meaning a one-way bridge where you cannot return once leaving the B side. For example, a South-to-North pontoon bridge means you can travel from south to north, but cannot return once leaving the north end; an outer-to-inner pontoon bridge means the outer side is normally passable, but you cannot return to the bridge from the inner platform, and so on.
4. Unless otherwise specified, all pontoon bridges mentioned below are two-way pontoon bridges.
5. Coordinates mentioned below are presented in the format [x,y] or [x1~x2,y1~y2]. The value before the comma represents the X-coordinate, and the value after represents the Y-coordinate.
Abyss Domain Coordinates:
The central area of the Demon Realm is the Abyss Domain. The Abyss Domain consists of a central platform and its eight subsidiary platforms (9 platforms in total). The central platform has eight pontoon bridges leading to the 8 platforms in corresponding directions. Although every platform has a pontoon bridge on its outer side, the platforms on the four corners of the Abyss Domain all have outer-to-inner pontoon bridges on their outer sides. Therefore, you can only travel from the Abyss Domain to the outer areas via the east, south, west, and north platforms. When characters are in this area, their X and Y coordinates are both within the 100~301 range. The periphery of the Abyss Domain is surrounded by a ring of cliffs.
Central Platform [161~240, 161~240]; West Platform [101~140, 171~230]; Northwest Platform [101~140, 101~140]; North Platform [171~230, 101~140]; Northeast Platform [261~300, 101~140]; East Platform [261~300, 171~230]; Southeast Platform [261~300, 261~300]; South Platform [170~230, 261~300]; Southwest Platform [101~140, 261~300].
Magma Domain Coordinates:
Surrounding the Abyss Domain is the Magma Domain. The Magma Domain's platforms are roughly distributed in a square around the Abyss Domain. Two adjacent Magma Domain platforms are 20 yards apart, all connected by pontoon bridges, but the pontoon bridges adjacent to the platforms on the four corners of the square are all outer-to-inner one-way pontoon bridges. Each side of this square has 6 Magma Domain platforms, making a total of 20 Magma Domain platforms. When players are in the Magma Domain, their X and Y coordinates are both within the ranges of 50~99 or 302~351. The Magma Domain is also surrounded by a ring of cliffs on its periphery.
Near the midpoints of the four sides of this square are four T-junctions, from which inner pontoon bridges extend to connect with the East, South, West, and North platforms of the Abyss Domain.
East T-junction [64~68, 198~203]; South T-junction [198~203, 64~68]; West T-junction [334~338, 198~203]; North T-junction [198~203, 334~338].
Additionally, of the two platforms further away from the T-junctions, the inner side of one has an outer-to-inner pontoon bridge leading to the Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast platforms of the Abyss Domain. The specific rules are:
The second platform south of the East T-junction has a West-to-East pontoon bridge leading to the Abyss Domain Southwest platform;
The second platform east of the North T-junction has a South-to-North pontoon bridge leading to the Southeast platform;
The second platform north of the West T-junction has an East-to-West pontoon bridge leading to the Northeast platform;
The second platform west of the South T-junction has a North-to-South pontoon bridge leading to the Northwest platform.
Black Water Domain Coordinates:
Surrounding the Magma Domain is the map's edge, the Black Water Domain. Black Water Domain platforms are also roughly distributed in a square at the map's edge, with 9 platforms on each side, totaling 32 platforms. Adjacent platforms in the Black Water Domain are also 20 yards apart, but not all adjacent platforms are connected by bridges, thus the entire Black Water Domain platform layout is divided into eight relatively independent zones. When players are in the Black Water Domain, their X and Y coordinates are all in the ranges of 1~49 or 352~400.
The 9 platforms on each side of the Black Water Domain are divided into three equal parts located in three different zones; every three platforms, there is a gap with no pontoon bridge connecting the adjacent platforms.
The pontoon bridges between the Black Water Domain platforms are normal two-way bridges, but the bridges connecting the Black Water Domain platforms and the Magma Domain platforms vary wildly. Among them, the inner sides of the two outer platforms out of the three middle platforms on each edge have a two-way pontoon bridge with turns leading to a Magma Domain platform. Meanwhile, in the corner groups of Black Water Domain platforms, the inner sides of all platforms except the very corner one have a one-way pontoon bridge leading to a Magma Domain platform. However, among these, only the pontoon bridges leading to the Magma Domain corner platforms are outer-to-inner bridges; the rest are inner-to-outer pontoon bridges.
3. Bosses in the Demon Realm

Bosses in the Demon Realm are enhanced versions of major bosses from field maps. Their skills are exactly the same as field bosses, but stats like health, attack power, and defense have been altered.
When a boss is killed, a treasure chest will appear in front of all surviving players within the guild of the character holding the highest boss aggro. Players can open the chest and leave the map; the chest automatically disappears after one minute.
Note that when calculating the aggro rules, the boss only looks at which guild the character with the highest aggro belongs to, and distributes rewards based on that, rather than calculating the highest total guild aggro. For example, suppose your guild is fighting a boss, and someone comes to steal it. As long as he ensures his personal aggro is the highest, when the boss dies, the guild that character belongs to will receive the reward, and your guild will not get anything. Even if your guild's total aggro exceeds his by dozens of times, it won't work.
Bosses spawn fixed on certain platforms. Without being attacked, a boss will only move randomly around its initial platform. However, the boss's summons can move randomly and attack any player they see. When a boss loses aggro, it will return to its initial platform in a straight line from its current position. But if a boss encounters an obstacle while returning to its initial platform, as long as the obstacle is wide enough, the boss will get stuck in front of the obstacle and stop moving. It has the same reaction when locking onto a target.
When the character with the highest aggro on a boss in the Demon Realm dies, the boss will not automatically select the character with the next highest aggro as a new locked target like field bosses do, but will instead return to its initial platform. Pay special attention to this.
Below are the initial platform positions for all current bosses:
Werewolf Caesar: Magma Domain Southeast Platform (321~350, 321~350)
Whale Monster Bigg: Magma Domain East Platform (321~350, 271~300)
Vampire Lord Dracula: Abyss Domain East Platform [261~300, 171~230]

4. Demon Realm Tips

4.1 Movement Tips
In the Demon Realm, moving quickly while riding a Fusion Beast has always been a thrilling experience; one careless mistake and you will plunge headfirst into a trap area, then respawn on the map without even struggling a few times. So, how can you move quickly and aim accurately at the pontoon bridges? Here are a few tips.
I assume you are not running around like a headless fly, and you at least know which direction to go and where the next pontoon bridge is located.
First, make good use of environmental navigation. Use navigation during movement to find the bridge you want to reach, determine its bearing and distance, and adjust your position as you move. Novices can use audio navigation for assistance if they are not proficient. There is a good method to calibrate your bearing: when a pontoon bridge is directly in your forward direction, you can also spot the bridge from perpendicular bearings. For example, if you want to confirm whether the bridge is due east, you can first look east to confirm the bridge's distance and rough bearing, then quickly look south and north. If you cannot see it when looking south, it means you are too far south; you should shift north and keep checking, and vice versa. When you can see it from both north and south, the bridge is exactly due east of you.
Of course, if you are not skilled at this and your Fusion Beast runs incredibly fast, you should at least know the rough bearing of the pontoon bridge. At the very least, after plunging into the water, you can quickly move toward the bridge. If you react fast enough, you can still save your life.
Speaking of this, we must also mention another great shortcut method. When you encounter a one-way pontoon bridge that you cannot pass through, observe your position. As long as you are not exactly in front of an edge cliff of the Abyss or Magma Domains, you can bypass the guardrail beside the bridge, swiftly enter the trap area, and quickly get onto the bridge. This allows you to travel in the opposite direction of a one-way bridge.
Since one-way pontoon bridges are mostly near corners, crossing zones requires this method, which can save a lot of time.
4.2 Boss Fighting Tips

As mentioned earlier, if a one-way pontoon bridge is not next to a cliff, we can briefly enter the trap area to bypass the obstacle of the one-way bridge. Bosses, naturally, can also bypass such minor obstacles.
However, if the pontoon bridge is next to a cliff, we cannot bypass it at all, because everything in sight is a cliff; we can only route around from other places with gaps, and this journey is naturally farther. And because the AI of Mist bosses is not very high, if there is a cliff blocking the boss's mandatory path, there is a high probability that the boss will get stuck in place and be unable to advance.
From this, a method almost like exploiting a bug was born. One player pulls the boss to the front of a pontoon bridge beside a cliff, while another player draws aggro. The boss's locked target will then become the player on the pontoon bridge. But due to the combination of the cliff and the one-way pontoon bridge, the boss cannot pose a threat to the player on the bridge. Therefore, with proper execution, low-level players with poor equipment can also defeat high-level bosses.
This guide was last updated on January 26, 2023, and only reflects the gameplay of the Demon Realm at that time.
